Recreation: Academy Supervisor

Join a mission driven organization supporting Lake County Youth to attain a path
to college through soccer. Heart of the City is a growing non-profit and adding
a new position to support our Director of Operations. You can join this emerging
team to make a direct impact in the Waukegan and surrounding Lake County
Your role will be to administer and execute all aspects of the HOTC Recreation
Soccer Academy. Working with the HOTC Elite (Travel) Director of Coaching and
Director of Operations, you will help shape and execute our program. This allows
for a coordinated path through HOTC soccer programming from recreation academy
to our competitive travel program. We engage recreational players of all
abilities and school age children through 8th grade.
Essential functions of the position include:
Establish the curriculum, schedule and player recruitment for the Academy
Scheduling all games including staff, referees, player schedule and events
Ongoing daily management of the Academy and programming
Development and adherence to program budget
Maintain participant database
Plan and order any necessary equipment including uniforms

Qualified candidates will have strong soccer coaching, organizational and
administrative skills. You must have a background in playing and/or coaching
soccer. You should have had some experience with leadership of recreational
programs for youth. Ability to speak and write Spanish and/or holding at least a
USSF D licenseis a plus, but not essential.
Programming involves evenings and week-ends as programs dictate.

Salary: $35,000.00 to $45,000.00 /year
Soccer Coaching: 3 years (Preferred)
